Bill C-60 and the state of copyrights in Canada
This Sunday (July 3, 2005) UQAM will be hosting Copyright2005 a Free Software/Free Culture. This comes on the heels of Bill C-60 being passed on Monday which seems to be a step back from Canada’s previous stance on the subject. Copyright2005 will include a speech from Richard Stallman who launched the development of the GNU operating system in ‘84 and a panel which will include Marcus Bornfreund who was responsible for the canadian adaptation of the Commons licenses.
Sunday July 3rd 2005, from 13h until 22h
Université du Québec à Montréal
320, Sainte-Catherine east, room DSR 510
Montréal, Québec, Canada
Berri-UQAM metro
