Decarie hot dogs

With the semester at an end, i decided to binge and pay a visit the famous decaire hot dogs (which I walk by every day on the way to school). I stepped in and found a spot at one the spinny red cushion bar stools and ordered a poutine, all-dressed steamy, and a root beer. While I waited someone asked how many people their serve a day, they had heard a thousand. The response was. “A thousand? We serve 500-600 at lunch alone”. This place is definately an institution, but not deified like so many downtown. My meal arrived and I took off my coat and pushed it underneth the counter where my bag was. As I ate people filed in and out often only stopping for a hot dog or fries on the way from the metro. I noticed stickers plastered on the steam hood, and one about tourism in the Northwest Territories which made me think how Candiana the place was. I finished the poutine and slid the now empty bottle of root beer across the counter. I almost never visit decarie hot dogs, partly because they only take cash and I never have any. So when I’m up at the till, I put out my cash like I am six years old, buying a brand new red bicycle, and the guy says “OK, take care my friend”.
