Les Bougon takes on OSM

This week in the mail I received OSM’s 06-07 season line-up, an impressive booklet full of gloss and glit. On the cover is Kent Nagano, the new Music Director, seeming have an air of optimism surrounding him, poised to take the helm. The line-up looks good - great really, including such works Schönberg’s massive “Gurrelieder” to Debussy’s “Prélude à l’aprés-midi d’un faune”. One thing that I most definately was not expecting was to come across a mug shot from Les Bougon. Rémy Girard, one of the leading charaters in the satirical TV series, will be acting narrator for the OSM as they perform Strauss’ “Le Bourgeois gentilhomme” which aparently has a slice of satire itself. As a fan of Les Bougon I can’t help but think Mr. Girard will do an excellent job. For more info click here
